Accommodation
During the Prairie Wind Regatta, we have permission to allow camping on Club Grounds. We also book a large number of campsites on the space right next to the club house, that you can book through calling Kinbrook Park.
For all other events we do not have that permission and therefore we unfortunately cannot allow tenting outside the PWR.
The dates of our events are published at least three months beforehand, to give everyone the chance to book accommodation at the Kinbrook Island Provincial Park campsites as soon as possible during the Alberta Parks website.
Note that Kinbrook Park is very popular during summer months, so our advice is to book as soon as the date becomes available (three months in advance).
And if you miss out? No fear, there are other campsites relatively close-by:
- TilleyBrook Provincial Park-12km away, on line booking available, 3 months in advance.
- Rolling Hills Reservoir Campground, approximately 7 km south of Kinbrook phone 403-363-5603 during camping season or check their website for info.
- Westside Campground: west of Brooks, close to Safeway. More info on the Alberta Camp Ground Guide.
- Harvest Hosts-a few local hosts close to Kinbrook. Check Harvest Hosts website.
- Some retail outlets will allow overnight parking of RV’s. Check with retail manager.
And if none of that works out, there are always the regular hotels in Brooks, or AirBnB in Lake Newell Resort.
